Lizzy

Lizzy was painted using oil paint on a 16×20 canvas. It took about two weeks to complete and the hair was the greatest challenge. I’d say to anyone taking on hair like this be prepared for a slow time. I match my colors as I go but I make up a group of colors that is close to what I’m seeing in front of me before I start. Also a photo or a live model can be used. Traditionally, before we had cameras the model had to stand there for days and days-and life now isn’t that short. Camera’s are just another tool in the box that we just can’t ignore in today’s world. My belief is that we all like to see reality- so the camera can aid us in that quest.
